At 110 kilometers (68.3 miles) in length, the Stockholm Subway System is said to be the world’s longest art exhibit. Travelling by metro is like travelling through an exciting story that extends from the artistic pioneers of the 1950s to the art experiments of today. Over 90 of the 100 subway stations in Stockholm have been decorated with sculptures, mosaics, paintings, installations, engravings and reliefs by over 150 artists. What a fun and inexpensive way to explore the art and culture of an incredible city like Stockholm!

Hermeto Pascoal - Música da Lagoa

Miles Davis called him “the most impressive musician in the world.” He’s Hermeto Pascoal from Brazil, and this is how he does it.

Aside from Hermeto’s infectiously liberated attitude, this performance is unique as an exploration of the physical edge of two sound mediums. He makes entirely underwater concerts seem tame by comparison.

It also preserves a fundamental premise of Harris’ musical approach. “I always like to respect the melody,” he says. “The melody is the heart and soul of all music. it’s not to be tampered with too much.
